GGS Plastic Engineering Inc. was founded in 1979 by Goyko and Gabriel Martinovic. Originally established as a tool and die making shop, the privately owned company expanded in 1986 to include product manufacturing with the acquisition of its first injection moulding machines.

Since then, G.G.S. Plastic Engineering Inc. has grown to become a key supplier to some of automotive industry's largest Tier 1 manufacturers. The company's production is distributed among a variety of customers and products that include, among others, vehicle safety systems for TRW Automotive, door latches and hinges for the Magna International family of companies and electric motor housings for Siemens Canada Limited.  Many of these components incorporate metal inserts into the finished product.
